Come, Let Us Join Our Friends Above (Charles Wesley, 1749)—Amy A. - Congregation is encouraged to read aloud on mute setting

Come, let us join our friends above who have obtained the prize, and on the eagle wings of love to joys celestial rise. Let saints on earth unite to sing with those to glory gone, for all the servants of our King in earth and heaven are one. One family we dwell in Him, one church one army of the living God, to His command we bow; part of His host have above, beneath, though now divided by the stream, the narrow stream of death; crossed the flood, and part are crossing now. Ten thousand to their endless home this solemn moment fly, and we are to the margin come, and we expect to die. E'en now by faith we join our hands with those that went before, and greet the blood-besprinkled bands on the crowned, and shout to see our Captain's sign, to hear this trumpet sound. O eternal shore. Our spirits too shall quickly join, like theirs with glory Hosts, the waves divide, and land us all in heaven that we now might grasp our Guide! O that the word were given! Come, Lord of Hosts, the waves divide, and land us all in heaven.

Great Thanksgiving for All Saints Sunday*—Pastor Charles and Amy A. (People) - Congregation is encouraged to read People’s part aloud on mute setting

Leader: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you.

Leader: Lift up your hearts.  People: We lift them up to the Lord.

Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.

It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to You, Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth: God of Abraham and Sarah, God of Miriam and Moses, God of Joshua and Deborah, God of Ruth and David, God of the priests and the prophets, God of Mary and Joseph, God of the children to all generations.

And so, with Your people on earth and all the apostles and the martyrs, God of our mothers and our fathers, God of our company of heaven, we praise Your name and join their unending hymn: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Holy are You, and blessed is Your Son Jesus Christ. By the baptism of His suffering, death, and resurrection, You gave birth to Your Church, delivered us from slavery to sin and death, and made with us a new covenant by water and the Spirit.

On the night in which He gave himself up for us, He took bread, gave thanks to You, broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said: “Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” When the supper was over He took the cup, gave thanks to You, gave it to His disciples, and said, "Drink from this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

And so, in remembrance of these Your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

Pour out Your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by His blood.

Renew our communion with all Your saints, especially those whom we name before You...

Silence may be kept for the remembrance of names.

Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, strengthen us to run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith. By Your Spirit make us one Christ comes in final victory and we feast at His heavenly banquet. Through with Christ, one wth each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until glory is Yours, almighty God, now and forever. Your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in Your holy Church, all honor and

People: Amen.

Prayer for All Saints Day

Basilica of San Vitale - Ravenna, Italy

How shining and splendid are Your gifts, O Lord
which You give us for our eternal well-being
Your glory shines radiantly in Your saints, O God
In the honor and noble victory of the martyrs.
The white-robed company follow You,
bright with their abundant faith;
They scorned the wicked words of those with this world’s power.
For You, they sustained fierce beatings, chains, and torments,
they were drained by cruel punishments.
They bore their holy witness to You
who were grounded deep within their hearts;
they were sustained by patience and constancy.
Endowed with Your everlasting grace,
may we rejoice forever
with the martyrs in our bright fatherland.
O Christ, in Your goodness,
grant to us the gracious heavenly realms of eternal life.
