The 11th assembly of the World Council of Churches opens today in Karlsruhe, Germany continuing for a week of sessions (August 31 – September 8, 2022).
The World Council of Churches brings together more than 3,000 participants and 760 delegates of member churches and ecumenical partners from all over the world. It is a unique opportunity for church leaders to deepen their commitment to visible unity and common witness. This year 80 United Methodists are participating in the Assembly.
