Church and Society is taking part in Giving Tuesday Now next Tuesday, May 5, and we hope you’ll support us.
The work of advocacy and justice is more important now than ever. The coronavirus has further exposed the broken systems that require urgent attention. Marginalized communities are being disproportionately impacted during these unprecedented times and we must act now.
Our focus for Giving Tuesday Now is straightforward: we are raising funds to support Church and Society’s advocacy and organizing work focusing on urgent issues such as access to healthcare, living wages for all workers, and protecting the right to vote - all of which have been under attack during this pandemic.
We hope to raise $7,500 between now and next Tuesday to support our essential work. With your help, we know we can do it. Click here to make a one-time or monthly gift today.
We are also launching a new initiative focused on how COVID-19 is contributing to systemic injustice: "COVID-19: Pre-existing Disparities Exposed." Click here to find out more about this free webinar series which begins May 21.
Thank you for your continued support.
With God's Peace,
Susan Henry-Crowe
P.S. When you donate today, your gift will count towards our Giving Tuesday Now goal. Consider making your donation now! You can also show your support for vulnerable communities by donating to the United Methodist Committee on Relief’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
