UMCOR response in East Congo

After the eruption of Mt. Nyiragongo, we offer prayers of protection for the people of East Congo. We pray for those whose homes have been threatened and destroyed by lava flows and for those forced to flee to surrounding communities and countries. We pray for the families of those who have lost their life.

UMCOR is working with the disaster management office of the East Congo Episcopal Area and has awarded a solidarity grant to support the immediate needs caused by the volcanic eruption.
