Tell U.S. Congress to Support Racial Equity in Health Care

The COVID-19 pandemic is illuminating the tragic consequences of disparities in access to health care. We have the opportunity to address disparities and improve maternal health by supporting the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act of 2021. 

As United Methodists, we affirm that healthcare is a basic human right (UM Social Principles, Right to Health Care ¶162.V) and specifically call for increase access to maternal health and family-planning services (¶3203: Maternal Health: The Church’s Role). Our vision supports access to quality, affordable, equitable health care for all.
