As the people of Jackson, Mississippi continue to experience the impact of flooding and a water system emergency, UMCOR has awarded a solidarity grant of $10,000 to The Mississippi United Methodist Conference to provide potable water.According to the Governor of Mississippi, around 180,000 people will be without water for an indefinite period of time. This emergency grant aims to help meet immediate needs for access to safe drinking water for those affected.
