January 16 @ St. Paul's UMC: Prayers

Joys:

+It is a joy to have Claudia back in Boulder after her writing retreat in France.
+Steve Matthews gives thanks for the safety of the hostages in yesterday's synagogue attack in Texas.
+Katherine Richardson gives thanks for the fruit bouquet given to her and Frank.
+Claudia Mills gives thanks for her sister Cheryl's start of her new job at Indiana Legal Services tomorrow.
+Dave & Jackie are celebrating their 34th anniversary.
+Dave Bishop is thankful for Lance's new position with the Louisville Fire Department which he will start next month.
+Joan Cooper gives thanks for Diane's improving health issues.
+We give thanks for this week's birthdays: Lylah Bishop and Joe Wright
+We are blessed this morning by Belinda Alkula (slides/Zoom) and Joey Vander Vorste (liturgist).

Concerns:

+Belinda received information that seventy-two Fairview High School students lost homes in the December 30th wildfires. Please pray that God will grace these families with the peace, patience and strength needed in the days ahead. 
+We hold Steve & Michelle Matthews in our prayers following the death last week of their sweet dog, Brinkley, following surgery.
+Joan Cooper lifts up Austin, who is having some health issues.
+Steve Matthews asks for prayers for the veterinary staff that provided care for their sweet dog.
+Let us lift up the people of Tonga following yesterday's Hunga-Tonga Hunga Ha’apai volcano eruption.
+Bob Muckle lifts up Melanie's mom, Lesley, who is having health concerns.
+Joan Cooper lifts up her friend, John, who is having health issues.
+We continue to offer prayers for those impacted by the ongoing COVID pandemic.
