Today in Methodist History

On this day in 1707, Selina Hastings, Countess of Huntingdon was born. She was an early supporter and follower of Wesley, and she later followed George Whitefield’s more Calvinist teachings (vs John Wesley’s Arminian beliefs). As well as establishing many chapels in England, she helped fund the building of chapels and missionary work in America.
