Today’s Meditation Verse: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” —1 Thessalonians 5:18
Welcome...Rev. Janeen Hill
Prelude...Lorie Courier / “Doxology,” arranged by Mark Hayes
*Call to Worship (Psalm 95:1-7)...Amy Abshire
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
*Hymn...“All Creatures of our God and King” (UMH #62)
Litany of Thanksgiving: Christ With Us...Amy Abshire
(To be read responsively)
We delight, most loving God, in the continuing influence of Christ Jesus in this third millennium: Wonderful is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
In every stimulating advance we make, he is there, well ahead of us, asking us to go on in faith. What eye has not seen, or the ear heard, or the mind conceived, God has in store for those who love him.
Whenever we are confused by the tough ethical decisions to be made by a citizen of this twenty-first century, Christ is with us. Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all that you need will be given to you. Love one another as I have loved you.
We delight, most loving God, in all that Christ once was, is now, and ever shall be.
Neither life nor death, things present nor things to come, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
