October 13 @ St. Paul's UMC: Prayers

Joys: 

+Fun church family breakfast yesterday at Home Cookin’ Café in Louisville. We are thankful for the 12 who participated.

+Wonderful hybrid annual gathering of the Mountain Sky Conference United Women in Faith this weekend! Belinda participated virtually. The memorial service honored Ann Abbott and Donna Wasson, two lovely women in faith associated with our church. 

+Claudia is thankful for the work being done by Alyah.

+Joey shared that Abby is thankful for her St. Paul's family.

+Martha is thankful that Abby and Steve are able to be in Frisco, TX at Chuck Swindoll's church.

+Pastor Charles lifts up the US Navy on its 249th birthday. 

+We celebrate that our blog recorded its 4,000th post last Friday.

+We give thanks for this week's birthday: Debbie Berlin. 

+We give thanks for those participating today: Belinda Alkula (video), Tim Cook (class), Kyle Dacon (piano), Rebecca Glancy (liturgist), Sandra Jordan (flowers), Etta Levitt (Zoom usher), Kathy Lloyd (Zoom host), Suzanne Polacek (bells), Ron Revier (choir), Bren Smith (flowers), and Jim & Joey Vander Vorste (fellowship).

Concerns: 

+We lift up in our prayers those recovering from Hurricane Milton in Florida and the continuing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene throughout the southeast.

+Rebecca asks for prayers for those working for the relief of those impacted by the recent hurricanes including her dad and sister.  

+Scott lifts up Kami and her children as they deal with life issues.

+We continue to pray for those in the midst of conflict in Ukraine & Russia, Gaza & Israel, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, and wherever else God's people might be in distress.
