Dear Members of the Mountain Sky Family,
Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
Our area was rocked again on Monday by a mass shooting in Boulder. At this time, may we fall to our knees and pray, asking God to bring comfort to those who mourn. Then, may we rise and recommit ourselves to the Prince of Peace, the One who calls us to ask the hard questions and do the hard work of gun reform so that no child will need to learn an active shooter drill, and no grocery shopper will need to fear for their lives while buying food.
May God guide us to increase love so that this broken world may be made whole,
-Bishop Karen

Prayer in this Time
We also take comfort in reading the poignant prayer offered last night by Reverend Beverly Fest, a retired pastor of Mountain View United Methodist Church.
