Both of our communities have now been affected by gun violence. Fortunately, mine not to the extent of yours, but nonetheless tragic. Friday, a local sheriff, a native Groesbeckian [Groesbeck, Texas], was critically shot (once in the head and once in the abdomen-through the windshield) when stopping to help a disabled vehicle. The assailant, after running for about 30 hours, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Our sheriff is the father of a 15-yr. son (whose rabbit was auctioned yesterday at our county fair for $7000), 7-year old darling girl twins, and a 2-month girl. Please add Chad Walker to your prayer list and your church’s list as well.
