Confession and Pardon (W. E. Orchard, UMC Book of Worship #475)...Ben Glancy

Have mercy upon us, O God, according to Your lovingkindness. According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquities, and cleanse us from our sins. For we acknowledge our transgressions, and our sin is ever before us. Create in us clean  hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Psalm 145:8). May the almighty and merciful Lord grant us remission of all our sins, true repentance, amendment of life, and the grace and consolation of the Holy Spirit. Amen  —Book of Common Prayer, 1979

*Offering/Doxology (“Old 100th”)
Praise God throughout these forty days. Praise Christ, our Lord, whom God did raise. And praise the Spirit who imparts God's love in Christ into our hearts. Amen.*
