We took time to honor our Quiet Disciples (Belinda Alkula was nominated by our church as a Quiet Disciple), receive and approve PPP nominations report, vote on Lay Equalization members, and celebrate opportunities within the district.
Additionally, this year, we had the pleasure of learning about how we can Lead into the Future, featuring Sam Gould, a local PPP District United Methodist leader. The gathering enjoyed the workshop with Sam and being able to begin the conversation about how we begin leading into to our future and not being satisfied with the status quo. The time is now to break the molds of how we have always done ministry because we have never done it this way before!
Tim Cook presented the nominations report (he is chair of the district Nominations Committee) and Belinda Alkula is also on the Nominations Committee. Pastor Charles is chair of the District Church Building/Location Committee and is also on the District Committe on Ordained Ministry.
