May 14 @ St. Paul's UMC: Prayers


 Joys:

+Louise Cook invited all of the ladies to take a rose during fellowship time.

+Jackie Bishop is happy that her dad, Walter, has moved to our area.

+Judy Waller lifted up the beauty of the Nelson Memorial Garden coming back to life after the long winter.

+Steve Matthews is thankful that Michele is healing from her dental work.

+We are happy to celebrate the graduations of Caitlin Small from Colorado Christian University (BSN) and Zach Nunnery from Metropolitan State University (B.S.).

+Dan &Bets Daniels celebrate the graduation of their grandson from seminary.

+Sally Owens celebrates her granddaughter dancing in two shows in Arvada this week.

+Terri Himes is happy to be going back to Pennsylvania to bring her mother-in-law for a visit in Colorado.

+We give thanks for those with birthdays this week: Louise Cook, Sandi Cook, &   Madilyn “Madi” Wahl.

+We are blessed by those who served this week: Amy Abshire (liturgist), Belinda Alkula (videographer), Steve Bainbridge (usher), Pat Cleaveland (fellowship), Louise Cook (flowers), Tim Cook (adult class), Lorie Courier (piano), Etta Levitt (Zoom usher), Kathy Lloyd (Zoom host), Hand Bell Sextet (Amy Abshire, Sabrina Bishop, Louise Cook, Kathy Lloyd, Myrle Myers, Suzanne Polacek), Ron Revier (choir), and the Fellowship Team (Fellowship celebration).

Concerns:

+We lift up in our prayers those in our fellowship who are traveling this week including the Peg & Don Fritschel in Portugal, Larry Esposito in Berlin, Germany, and Molly Nunnery and Zach in London, UK.

+Belinda Alkula lifted up in prayer the Rev. Jeremy Smith (UMC of Johnston, CO) and his family on the death of his wife, Daen, this past week. 

+Bob Muckle lifted up Melanie who is experiencing her first Mother's Day without her mom.

+Tim Cook asks for prayers for Mary, the mother of his colleague and friend, Christine who will be receiving treatment in Littleton for two pelvic fractures. Prayers also for Christine and her family as they contemplate options for care.

+We join with many across our nation in mourning the deaths of the 179 killed and 413 injured due to gun violence last week.
