September 17 @ St. Paul's UMC: Announcements

+UMCOR will be responding to the earthquake in Morocco and flooding in Libya through mission partners in the affected areas. Contributions made be made at this link.

+Please sign up to write for the Advent devotional. This year's theme is "The names of Jesus." See the sign-up sheet on the Greeter's table or speak with Pastor Charles.

+Fall adult study is underway. What is the (pretty big) little secret about orthodoxy that no one seems to talk about? If we are not a “creedal” denomination, then why do we have creeds? How has the notion of the Trinity fostered not only division but also unity in the history of the church? All this and more in next Sunday’s session of “Who’s Afraid of orthodoxy?: Challenges, Misconceptions, and the Promise of Perennial Christian Truth.” We meet at 8:45 in the library.

+A memorial luncheon for Donna Wasson will be held on Tuesday, September 26, starting at 11:45 a.m., at St. Paul’s UMC, in the fellowship hall. All ladies are invited to celebrate the life of Donna Wasson and her active participation in the life of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church family. This will be a catered event. Please R.S.V.P. to Joan Cooper (ajcooperjr@comcast.net / 303-898-8034) by Tuesday, September 19.

+You are invited on Thursday, September 28 at 6PM to join Rev. Adam   Hamilton and a panel of United Methodist bishops as they discuss their hopes and dreams for the future of the United Methodist ChurchThis is an exciting time for the UMC as we emerge from the aftermath of Covid and disaffiliations and as we look ahead to a new future. You won't want to miss this. Save this link to join the live stream.
