Joys:
+ Pastor Janeen Hill thanked God for the amazing Easter worship
service she attended this year in Hawaii, at the Kona United Methodist Church.
+ Belinda Alkula expressed thanks to God for the joy of having Pastor Janeen Hill with us today to lead worship and to preach, while Pastor Charles Alkula is away on renewal leave.
+ Belinda Alkula praised God for a loving church
family’s support of Pastor Charles’ time away on renewal leave.
+ Judy Waller expressed joy at the church family’s response to the
appeal for donations to our county’s food bank at the Emergency Family
Assistance Association (EFAA). Donations are accepted at the back of the
sanctuary through Sunday, September 17. They will be delivered to the EFAA on
September 18.
+ Judy Waller praised God that the choir resumes this Wednesday.
+ Sally Owen thanked God for the blessing of her grandchildren.
+We celebrate this week's birthdays: Dave Bishop and Jackie Bishop
+We are blessed by those who served this week: Amy Abshire (liturgist), Belinda Alkula (videographer), Steve Bainbridge (greeter), Rev. Janeen Hill (sermon), Kathy Lloyd (Zoom host), Etta Levitt (Zoom usher), and Hyeji Park (pianist).
Concerns:
+ Joan Cooper asked for prayers for Donna Wasson’s daughter Debra who
is having another surgery.
+ Joan Cooper asked for prayers for Austin Cooper as he begins a clinical
trial for the treatment of his blood disorder.
+ Bob Muckle shared that his friend Curt, who is the Louisville Public Works Director, just returned from Mawi where he had been invited to consult with their public works folks after the Hawaii fires. He was able to share “lessons learned” from the Marshall Fire.
