"The Mountain View UMC mission team, heading to Guatemala on May 2 - 9, is hoping that you can join us for dinner and a show on March 23. The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and it is a 'free will' offering for the meal and the show. Our address is 355 Ponca Pl., and we have plenty of parking in the church lot, along the streets and even at the school across the street.
Rev. Skip Strickland, our former pastor and DS, has coordinated a great group of musicians for the show. Rev. Skip and Gaynor, now billing as Skip and Gayn, will begin the show at 5:30 p.m. They will be followed by a solo artist, Mark Heiss. The Weld County Ramblers will finish the evening with a longer set and we should conclude the evening by 7:30 p.m.
We are developing a fantastic menu of Guatemalan food--main course and sides--and I KNOW you all have been hankering for a great dinner with friends and family. I invite fellow church members, friends, neighbors, and music enthusiasts. Several of your United Women in Faith sisters will be participating in this mission trip and we plan to visit "our" young woman, Sebastiana, whom our unit supports through Pura Vida.
