First Sunday in Lent

As we journey through the first week of Lent, we are mindful that we are not alone on this path, but are pilgrims who share a common destination: Easter.

This morning, the choir shared "Peace Like a River" for the anthem. Pastor Charles began the Lenten sermon series this morning which uses Mark’s account of the gospel to take us through the entirety of Holy Week, one Sunday at a time. Today’s sermon came from Mark 11:1-11 and looked at the events surrounding Palm Sunday.

Thanks this morning to: Amy Abshire (Liturgist), Belinda Alkula (Video), Angela Baker (Communion), Jessica Bishop (Nursery), Wally Cleaveland (Alpha & Omega), Sandi Cook (Usher), Tim Cook (Church school / trombone / usher), Lorie Courier (Accompanist), Glancy family (Flowers), Ben Glancy (Microphone wrangler), Josie Glancy (Microphone wrangler / fellowship), Scott Glancy (Youth class), Sandra Jordan (Counter / usher), Molly Nunnery (Counter), Ron Revier (Choir), and Christopher Wahl (Accompanist / sound board).
