March 15 @ St. Paul's UMC (1): Bulletin & Sermon

Icon of the "Withered Fig Tree"
Welcome to an unusual Sunday at St. Paul's UMC. Following the guidance of the Mountain Sky Conference, and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not holding worship services in our sanctuary this week or next (March 22). Instead, we are offering posts on our YouTube channel as one way to stay connected as a community of faith.

The hymns for this week are linked to YouTube videos. The message may found on our YouTube channel. Click on the links below to view those files.

From the bulletin for March 15

Call to worship (Psalm 95:1-2 CEB):
Come, let’s sing out loud to the Lord! Let’s raise a joyful shout to the rock of our salvation! Let’s come before God with thanks! Let’s shout songs of joy to our God!

Hymn: "Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah"

The [Methodist] Book of Worship for Church and Home (1965) provides the following Collect for Holy Tuesday:
Almighty, everlasting God, grant us so perfectly to follow the passion of our Lord, that we may obtain the help and pardon of His all-sufficient grace; through Him who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.
Hymn: "Gather Us In"

Scripture lesson: We continue with the Lenten sermon series, The Last Week, with Tuesday in Holy Week: Mark 11:20-13:37

Message: "So much conflict, so little time"

Hymn: "A Charge to Keep I Have"
