Today in Methodist history

Process print after an aquatint by John Sartain, 1791
On this date, 2 March 1791, John Wesley died at his home in London following a final five day illness. He sang a final hymn "I'll Praise My Maker While I've Breath" and his reported final words were "Best of all is, God is with us."
