Interfaith Art Build and Moving Vigil

Dear Friends,

 

We are excited to share the attached flyer for the Interfaith Art Build and Moving Vigil coming up Sept. 25-27. 

 

Please share it with your faith communities, come make a banner at the Art Build, and then join a beautiful Moving Vigil from 4-6 pm. on Monday, Sept. 27, where hearts and voices of faith join together to invoke healing and action on behalf of our Earth.

 

The Sign Up Sheet offers two hour blocks for you and members of your community to participate in the Artbuild on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 25 and 26.  We will be guided by Rachel and Josh from the art team Look Loud in how to create beautiful banners representing our messages of faith for climate action.  Your community will be able to keep your creations for any future climate events! 

 

Then bring your banner and your friends and join the Moving Vigil on Monday, Sept.27.  We meet at 4 pm at the Peace Park (just west of the Boulder Public Library along the creek) and begin with a beautiful water offering, walk past the Municipal Building, through Central Park, passing banks and other institutions of power, and then conclude at the County Courthouse.  There will be stops along the way, where each faith community who wishes will have the opportunity to make an offering or prayer.  Together, we weave our strong and diverse voices calling to ourselves, each other, and our leaders for collective action for a liveable world.
