250 years ago today, Francis Asbury set sail from Pill, Somerset, UK to Pennsylvania.
Asbury responded to the call placed on his life and made the historic voyage across the Atlantic. He probably never imagined that his preaching ministry would lead to the establishment of the American Methodist Church or that he would be ordained as its first bishop.
On Sunday, September 12th at 8:00 AM, you can join the New Room (Bristol) for a service of celebration and reflection on vocation and what it means to be faithful to being called.
