September 5 @ St. Paul's UMC: Prayers

Joys:

+Praise that we can be together today!

+Prayers of thanksgiving for the UMW of Mountain View UMC who gifted St. Paul's with prayer shawls that we can give away.

+Prayers for all of God's children.

+We give thanks for this week's birthday: Angela B., Dave B., and Jackie B.

+We give thanks this morning for the music of Louise Cook (piano) and Sabrina Bishop, Louise Cook, Myrle Myers, Suzanne Polacek, and Christopher Wahl (Bell ensemble). We also give thanks for Claudia Mills (liturgist), Belinda Alkula (video/Zoom), Austin Cooper (usher), Etta Levitt (Zoom usher), and the Vander Vorstes (flowers).

Concerns:

+ Steve and Martha B. ask for prayers for Eric W., son of Bruce & Nancy W. Eric is 26 and having serious health concerns.

+We pray for those communities facing the aftermath of Hurricane Ida including those lives which were lost.

+We pray for those continuing to be impacted by the ongoing pandemic.

+We join with people across the USA in mourning the deaths of 252 people due to gun violence last week.
