Following three days of hard work, it was time for the Mountain Sky Conference to celebrate and celebrate it did with a joyful ordination service! The service began with a recognition of our common ministry and reaffirmation of our baptism. Persons being recognized as Local Pastors and sent out in service was next, marking this important link to our Methodist heritage. Seeing the seven who were presented for commissioning as Provisional Members of the Conference, five who were being ordained as Elders in Full Connection, and two whose ordination in other denominations were affirmed was such a thrilling sight for today's attendees.
Bishop Oliveto used her sermon to encourage the Conference to lean upon each other as together we embrace the challenges of our time and the strength we can take from our Connection as followers of Jesus.
