August 1 @ St. Paul's UMC: Prayers


Joys:
+Claudia, Christopher, and Gregory made a pilgrimage to Arapaho Ridge to place Rich's ashes in the place on God's earth he loved best.
+Scott & Rebecca G. are thankful that a former exchange student, Luisa (from Brazil), has arrived at CU for graduate school.
+Dave & Jessica B. give thanks for the safety of Lance following deployment to fight a fire near Fort Morgan.
+Louise C. gives thanks that her granddaughter, Elise, is home safely following a mission trip to Guatemala.
+Belinda and Pastor Charles give thanks for the visit from friends from South Dakota, the Revs. Mollie R. and Adam D.
+We give thanks for this week's birthdays: Amy A., Sabrina B., Tim C., & Jennifer M.
+We were blessed this morning through the music of Louise Cook (piano); Suzanne Polacek (piano/bells); and Christopher Wahl (bells). We also give thanks for Amy Abshire (liturgist); Belinda Alkula (video/Zoom); Tim Cook (adult class); Austin Cooper (usher); Sandra Jordan (flowers); Etta Levitt (Zoom usher) and the Bishop family (fellowship time).
Concerns:
+Pat M. asks for prayers for the residents of Morning Star as they go through another Covid-related lockdown due to a staff member with a Covid diagnosis.
+Dan D. asks for prayers for his brother-in-law, Kirk M., who has entered hospice care.
+Louise C. asks prayers for healing of Garrett, who was on a mission trip to Guatemala, who is dealing with Covid.
+We pray for Melissa and Nick (Sunrise Early Learning) as they go back east for the funeral of a family member due to Covid-19.
+Prayers are asked for Trinity UMC in Loveland as they continue to deal with the aftermath of a recent burst water pipe.
+ We pray for those continuing to be impacted by the continuing ravages of the pandemic.
+Prayers are asked for those affected by the extremes of weather-related events including flooding, drought, and fire.
+We join with people across the USA in mourning the deaths of 223 due to gun violence this past week.
