Five-Pointed
Star
The five-pointed star is a reminder of the Nativity star that shone over Bethlehem where Jesus was born.
The star guided the shepherds to the manger.
The star guided the wise men who came from afar.
The five-pointed star represents the five wounds of Jesus (nails in his hands, feet,
the crown of thorns, and the sword that pierced his side) at his death.
The five-pointed star also represents the Trinity (God the Father, Jesus,
and the Holy Spirit).
