Devotional for December 13

Where to find the basket for baby Jesus? And the artificial straw! And the animals? Not to mention shepherds and kings…. They must be around here somewhere. Keep looking! With Christmas so commercial anyway, we can’t just buy new ones…. Will the kids even notice? The items are old and worn anyway. Is this the real story? The gospel writers don’t even agree!

We try to remember that Jesus being born is the true gift; God’s plan to save us is the true story.
