Gabriela the angel didn’t want to give Mary the news, so who volunteered to do it instead? Chloe [the wildcat puppet]. Mary didn’t want to be the mother of Jesus, so who volunteered to do it instead? Ruby [the rabbit puppet]. The shepherds didn’t want to carry the tidings of the birth, so who volunteered to do it instead? Poor slow Trevor [the turtle puppet]. The wise men didn’t want to go bring gifts to Jesus, so who offered to do it instead? Dmitri with his suitcase [the deer puppet].
Whose job do you think was the hardest? God asks us to do lots of things: hard, easy, big, little. And He helps us to be like Chloe, Ruby, Trevor, Dmitri, Gabriela, Mary, the shepherds, the wise men. In all things, big and little, hard and easy, God helps us to be faithful and obedient.
